Jamming,

I'm really not certain who you are sending this message to, you are being rather nasty here. I've read back and I didn't see anything that I read as saying your thoughts and feelings were invalid. You are entitled to your opinion on this. I too was strongly affected by the events covered under 37. I personally feel that it didn't destroy the series.

There are other series out there that I enjoyed up to a certain point and then for one reason or another felt the author ruined it. In the case of one it was similar to this in I felt the author ruined the characters for no go reason and wasn't able to recover.

I personally feel that Nate caused damage but the story needed it and recovered.

I hope to hear more good discussion of everything, including your thoughts and feelings once 37 is lifted and we can dig into it.

Anyone know how long Article 37 will be in place?

I asked something like that earlier.  Since this whole thread is marked **SPOILER WARNING**, does Article 37 really apply?

Nigel is so wrong to me, we are not even speaking the same language. It would take some time to before we could even have the conversation.  Instead of trying to be nice and explain something his world view is not compatible to (evidentially), I took the rude choice.  He shouldn't mistake the disdain I have to being told in absolute terms that I am not entitled to my feelings. I did not tell him his feelings are wrong as he has the right to his own feeling. His writing shows a desire to refute my feelings instead of discussing the issues. I won't be manipulated into defending an incorrect premise as he was expressing mine.  If anyone needs proof the basic nature of communication is manipulation as it is by context, word choice, and general framing of the arguments.  Nigel quoting me and then going off in attempt to disprove my feelings is a prime example of it.

Hi Jamming.

Reading my above post must have been really unpleasant.  Please don't take my words as a statement that your feelings and thoughts are invalid.  As expressions of who you are and what you are experiencing, they are hugely and extremely valid.   From where I stand in my own experience I felt that I shared some of your feelings and that I thought about the story differently.  Reading your post helped me to clarify that.  It seems that my quoting of your post directly must have made it feel to you like a personal attack.  I'll definitely consider that more going forward.

Jamming has left the forum, hence his "guest" status.

I suspect he'll still be reading but he sent me the "i'm leaving message" so ...

Not much we can do to help him.
