I know I've asked before and I'm going to ask again.

If you like the books, would you please take a few minutes to rate them on the Podiobooks site?

You'll need to create an account and a subscription over there but it *really* helps with the visibility of the titles. I've been lucky to have 3 or 4 of the top rated books pretty consistently and I'd kinda like to keep it that way.

Thanks.

I have rated all the Lowell Podiobooks, and my question is Why can I only rate them once! Sheesh its hard to stack the deck if they go and put limits on Wink

Thanks, GC. Yea .. the limitations are there to keep people from Cook County from exercising their Dailey rights.

The ratings are in freefall at the moment.

Somebody's taken a dislike to my hogging up the charts, it looks like.

Don't worry about it. It's easier to knock them down than it is to earn a good number. I've pretty much given up on it at this point.

oh .. it's a pretty easy process .. sorry, I should have spelled it out.

register for an account
subscribe to the book
then go to the books "title page" where the blurb is

In the middle of the page is a set of stars and above the stars is a link that will let you rate a title
Click that link and you'll be able to give me up to 5 stars in each of 4 categories.

This is for ANY podiobook, btw, and it means a lot to authors to get ratings. Well, it means a lot to me. Smiley

That's awful!  I voted the way I felt, which was good for you.  (I am already on my second listen of Double share.)

Thanks!

Every rating DOES count -- Because of everybody's ratings,  I may have dropped off the "quality" chart but I'm climbing the "most rated."

A silver lining Smiley

I agree no reason for you to fall off the quality chart.  And I think that if you subscribe again you can rate the book again

I'm not sure about resubscribing and then re-rating . I think it can be done it feels like vote-rigging.
My suggestion as to how to respond is to spread the word.
I recently sent a word document to all my friends who use ipods or mp3 players, the document contained links to podiobooks with recommendations (Nate at top obviously) and descriptions of my favorite listens. I also printed a few pages off and put on notice boards at work. if people come back and say how much they enjoyed a book I suggest they rate it or write a review.

Yes, PLEASE don't rig the votes. And, no, you can't unsub and resub .. once you've rated it.. call it good and we'll move on.

Spreading the word is - far and away - the most effective way to help me and the other podiobook authors.

A "fair rating" is all *I* ask. If you think it's 5's .. good .. if you think it's 3's .. fine. If you think it's really 1's ... thats a fair notion and I can accept that. It would be really nice that if you think the stories deserve 1's - you at least tell me why Smiley

No need to rig the votes the stories stand on their own
